Austria – Second licence granted for sports betting in Vienna

The Vienna Admission Board has awarded the second sports betting license in Vienna to Runbet Austria GmbH.
Following on from the success of the first grant issued in Vienna in July 2017, the cooperation with the Institute for Gambling & Dependency has once again successfully led to the granting of the permit.
The licence has been limited to three years and so far includes two locations, one in the Thaliastraße and one in the Veronikagasse.
Roman Neßhold, Institute of Gambling & Dependency, said: “We are very pleased that our concepts have once again been rated so well by the authorities and have ultimately lead to these licences being authorised. We congratulate Runbet Austria GmbH on the success and wish them a good start in Vienna.”
