Belgium – Napoleon Games to take Grand Casino Knokke underground

By - 18 January 2018

Belgian operator Napoleon Games has been given the green light to re-house its land-based casino licence in the coastal municipality of Knokke-Heist in an underground facility.

Retaining its coastal location in Canada Square, the new Grand Casino Knokke is being designed by architectural firm Creneau International. The cost of the project will be split between the local council and the casino operator with the municipality paying €4.2m of the €7.5 m total investment in the building works with Napolean Games paying the rest.
Napoleon will be issued with a new licence taking effect on July 3 2018, and running for 30 years. The project will include a casino, restaurant, bar, event space of 2,231 m² and a new Kitsch club of 752 m², along with an underground car park with 218 spaces.

Napoleon bought the casino from Partouche for €16.5m back in 2013.
