Canada – GLI appoints Higgins as Development Manager

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has appointed respected consultant William Higgins as its new Development Manager for Global Professional Services where he will be positioned in GLI’s office located in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.

GLI Canada CEO Salim Adatia said: “I am very pleased with the growth rate of our professional services team and look forward to working with William.  Adding a seasoned professional such as William to our existing talent pool will help us to meet the demand that has accompanied the division’s growth. William will be a great help to the planning and directing of the administrative, financial, development and operational activities for the growing consultancy demands, both in gaming and in non-gaming areas.”

“Bringing William to the GLI team will add tremendous depth and skill to our growing Global Professional Services team, in particular as it relates to our enterprise risk management, audit and advisory channels, and we are thrilled to add him to the team,” added Global Professional Services Director Gregory Doucette.

Mr. Higgins has extensive professional services experience, having worked for more than 25 years for companies such as Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young. Higgins comes to GLI with experience in both the private and public sectors. Most recently, he served as New Brunswick Practice Leader for Business Risk Services at Grant Thornton, where he led the development of professional services in New Brunswick, Canada.

He has also served as Associate Partner, Advisory Service Practice at Ernst & Young LLP, where he led a large internal audit and risk assessment outsourcing assignment with a major Atlantic Canadian utility and an oil refinery company. He brings further applicable skills from his industry experience in energy, healthcare, oil, and lottery sectors.
