China – Macao Gaming Show to host The Slot Experience Center

By - 18 August 2014

The Slot Experience Center (SEC), at this year’s Macao Gaming Show (MGS), is set to become one of the most influential test beds in the industry for the world’s leading Electronic Gaming Machine (EGM) manufacturers.

Visitors to November’s ‘By Asia For The World’ exhibition will have the opportunity to test drive the latest machines and provide crucial feedback to participating manufacturers. Players, together with senior level slot experts will evaluate the games across a number of criteria including game theme, graphics, sound and the overall playing experience with awards going to the EGM manufacturers who receive the highest number of votes. In 2013 Bally Titanic swept the awards, recording the highest number of votes for Best Music and Audio; Best Game Theme; Best Users Experience and Best Game Graphics.

David So, Slot Experience Center Manager said: “The Slot Experience Center was an idea created by MGS to help Electronic Gaming Machine manufacturers receive important feedback from slot players. In 2013 877 professional and general players voted on the 40 models which were installed by the world’s major EGM manufactures all of whom received valuable feedback which was fed back into their R&D teams. Our plan is to grow this popular feature with more machines and more game styles and to introduce new voting categories in order to more accurately reflect the diversity of today’s EGM sector. We are also inviting senior level slot experts from major casino operators to form an industry review panel in order to provide professional feedback.”

Macao Gaming Show is the first large scale gaming and entertainment exhibition organised and run by Macao organisations and supported by Government departments. MGS 2014 will have a floor area of over 10,000 m2. Exhibitors and buyers eyeing the Asian market will be coming from all corners of the world. The event covers six gaming industry segments; Gaming Equipment and Accessories, Gaming Promoters (Junkets) and VIP Clubs, Casino Fixtures and Fittings, Promotional Services and Memorabilia, Food and Beverage and Entertainment and Performance.

Macao Gaming Show also features a high-level Summit, which has a speaker line-up consisting of many of the leading authorities on gaming in Asia. The 2014 Summit, whose theme is ‘Asian Gaming: Looking beyond the Horizon’, will feature a hand-picked line-up of speakers all of whom have a detailed knowledge of the Asian gaming market. Business essential topics being covered include the Asia-Pacific regulatory environment; the future of gaming in Macao and beyond; opportunities in Asia-Pacific as well as updates on mature, emerging and future markets; the latest developments, challenges, solutions and opportunities in i-Gaming and organisational best practices in gaming.
