Colombia – Enjoy to expand into Colombia and Peru

Chile-based operator Enjoy has said it will open four casinos within the next five months.
Gerardo Cood, Enjoy’s General Manager, confirmed a deal had been reached with Decameron regional hotel and resorts to install casinos in two of its Colombian properties; in Baru, Cartagena, and on the island of San Andres island in the Atlantic. Another casino would be developed in Punta Sal in Peru. The total investment would be around US$5m.
Enjoy’s new business plan has seen it explore opportunities outside of Chile with one of the best options being the Colombian market.
Meanwhile in Uruguay the company is hopeful that the financial uncertainty surrounding Conrad Casino in Punta de Este, will be resolved within six months when Enjoy would control 100 per cent of the property’s stockholding. Currently the 55 per cent majority is owned by Baluma Holdings, controlled by Las Vegas casino giant Caesars.
Mr. Cood said Enjoy had made ‘advances in its search for a strategic partner plan to realize this operation (take total control of the Conrad), which may be defined in six months.’
