GVC Holdings has launched Aqua, the latest in a line of exclusive online casino games for its B2B partner and Denmark’s leading online gaming operator, Danske Licens Spil.

The new five-reel slot, is based on Denmark’s most successful ever pop act, Aqua, who shot to fame with their 1997 smash hit and all round ear-worm, Barbie Girl.

Launching simultaneously on desktop and mobile, the game features band favourites Lene Nystrøm and René Dif. As well as enjoying clips from their classic hits including Dr Jones, Turn Back Time and of course Barbie Girl – which helped to sell over 33m albums and singles worldwide – players will have the opportunity to hit a progressive jackpot which currently sits at 1m DKK (c. €130k).
