France – Four per cent growth for La Société Française de Casinos

By - 18 March 2014

La Société Française de Casinos, which operates four casinos in Gruissan, Châtel-Guyon, Port la Nouvelle and Collioure, saw growth of 4.1 per cent in the first quarter of 2013 with turnover up to €5.1m.

The group benefited from an increase in slot revenue and poker activities, especially in Gruissan and Collioure.  Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) increased by 5.2 per cent to €3.8m with the growth recorded by the four casinos offsetting a slight decline in the group’s online games during the period.

The group announced the favourable judgment issued by the Court of Appeal of Paris in February, rejecting all of the demands of society Atlantis SAS in the litigation relating to the transfer of Agadir casino.

It has also signed a memorandum of agreement for the sale of its ‘Virtual Games – Head in the Clouds’ offering, which could be finalised before the end of June 2014.

The group said it wanted to refocus its activity on being a casino operator, its historical business.
