Gibraltar – Novomatic relaunches Ocean Village casino in Gibraltar

Triple world champion of Formula 1 Niki Lauda was in Gibraltar to attend the official opening ceremony of Admiral Casino Gibraltar, situated in the Ocean Village.
Mr. Lauda was present in his role as ambassador for Novomatic the new owners of the casino, which has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent months with an investment of millions of pounds. Novomatic has added new bars and restaurants, sports betting facilities, improved VIP areas and two smoking areas. The investment also includes new slot machines, and have generated 20 extra jobs at the property.
Novomatic bought the venue for an undisclosed fee through its investment arm Gryphon AG back in December 2013.
“Novomatic is a great new entrant into our Gaming community, and shows that Gibraltar continues to be the place where the world’s leading gaming companies want to be. I believe this is a tremendous vote of confidence in Gibraltar and our economy and I am delighted to be able to welcome them here,” said Gaming minister Albert Isola. “I am delighted that Novomatic have chosen Gibraltar for this investment as they are a company of enormous quality and integrity and are most welcome in Gibraltar.
