Greece – SYNOT reaches milestone of 3,000 VLTs with OPAP

By - 10 August 2018

The SYNOT Group has continued its successful cooperation in the Greek market with the leading betting and lottery company OPAP by reaching the milestone of having installed 3,000 VLTs with the group.

It still has a contract in place to put a further 2,000 VLTs into operation with OPAP.

Roland Andrysek, Sales Director of the SYNOT Group, said: “Our cooperation began in 2015, when the company SYNOT W succeeded in the tender. We have become one of the four world suppliers of video lottery terminals, and we have won as the only continental European supplier.”

Initially only 2,000 VLTs were planned. However, after an evaluation of the cooperation, a new agreement was reached between OPAP and SYNOT W and the number of videolottery terminals to be delivered more than doubled.

Mr. Andrysek added: “In Greece, the SYNOT Group plans, just like in other countries where it does business, to branch out into other areas of investment. We are talking about IT technologies, telecommunication services, sports supporting or tourism-related investments.”
