Hungary – Scientific signs Hungary lottery deal

Scientific Games Corporation has signed a new lottery systems contract with Szerencsejatek Zrt, the Hungarian State Lottery, ending December 31, 2020.

Scientific Games will implement its AEGIS NGS next-generation central system hardware and software, install additional Wave terminals and provide related services.

Dr. Kalman Szentpetery, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Szerencsejatek Zrt, said: “Scientific Games has been successfully serving our Lottery for many years and we believe its innovative products and services have been a key factor in our growth. We are impressed by the WAVE terminal and the AEGIS NGS system appears to be the best performing lottery system available today.  Scientific Games has delivered once again and we believe it will continue to help our lottery grow.”

Szerencsejatek Zrt is the only lottery in Hungary, operating over 4,800 retail terminals with total lottery sales of nearly $900m in 2012.
