Jersey – Jersey becomes newest tier one eGaming jurisdiction

By - 13 January 2015

Jersey eGaming (Channel Islands) has announced that it will be exhibiting at ICE Total Gaming, to be held February 3 to 5 2015, at Excel London.

Following recent changes to its eGaming offering, Jersey is the newest tier-one eGaming jurisdiction to emerge, offering lost cost, high quality services. Key features of Jersey’s eGaming proposition include providing the cheapest tier one jurisdiction license costs available, Free Disaster Recovery Licenses, an independent Gambling Commission, no VAT, no eGaming Duty, zero per cent Corporation Tax, premium location for IPO, excellent internet connectivity, world-class regulatory, banking, legal and technology services, a digital hub to support eGaming businesses looking to relocate.

Andy Jarrett, Director of Digital Jersey commented: “Jersey’s eGaming offering has gone from strength to strength in recent years and is now arguably the most attractive of any tier one jurisdiction. Our recently announced highly competitive licensing environment, investment in telecommunications, depth of technology skills and our reputation as a leading finance centre makes us the compelling new option for eGaming organisations. We are also fortunate to have a supportive government position in relation to eGaming, and Jersey’s Assistant Chief Minister, Senator Philip Ozouf, will be attending the ICE event on the February 5 to speak personally to businesses who may be interested in doing business with Jersey.”

Jersey eGaming will be based on stand N7-452 at ICE, where corporate service, telecoms legal, web design and software providers will all be available to provide guidance and support. There will also be ministerial representation from the States of Jersey and the Jersey Gambling Commission.
