Luxembourg – Luxembourg’s Casino 2000 certifies according to ECA Responsible Gambling standard

By - 8 January 2019

Casino 2000 from Luxembourg has achieved certification according to the ECA Responsible Gambling Framework after an independent audit conducted by the Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4).

This shows Luxembourg’s land-based casino acting in line with the latest standards in Responsible Gambling for the licensed land-based casinos industry that were updated by the ECA at the beginning of 2018.

Casino 2000 was already successfully audited on previous versions of the ECA Responsible Gambling standard. It proudly joins the other ECA members certified according to the 2018 Responsible Gambling Framework, including Grand Casino Beograd (Serbia) Spielbanken Baden-Württemberg (Germany), Casinos Austria and Casino Cosmopol. A number of other leading operators are in the process of certification.

The Framework sets an industry standard for the effective management of Responsible Gambling in areas ranging from awareness-raising and employee training to marketing and stakeholder engagement. Certification is granted to ECA members after an independent third-party has been conducted. The ECA Responsible Gaming Framework has been developed with input and leadership of eminent researchers in the field of gambling addiction over several years. The certification according to this standard is exclusive to members of the European Casino Association.

Guido Berghmans, Director-General of Casino 2000 commented: “It is a fair recognition of the great work of our responsible gambling team. We have successfully applied the ECA’s industry-leading Responsible Gambling Framework since its first inception in 2013. It is crucial for me and the entire team that our gambling products are provided in a socially responsible way to our customers.”
