Malta – Stakers releases web app for its mobile version

By - 19 November 2017

The iGaming operator Stakers.com has released a progressive web app for its mobile version. Instantly available with no lag time, the application forces the update of sports data and the odds movements even in uncertain network conditions. The application presents the same speed as a native app with no download required.

In accordance with the report published by OC&C Strategy Consultants, around 49 percent of e-commerce transactions involved a smartphone in 2016, and this tendency is expected to grow and make more than 80 percent by the end of 2019.

Michael Schmidt, company business development manager said: “We are quite aware of the continuous increase in the number of smartphones. For this reason, I am delighted to announce the new technology build in-house by the excellent developer team of Stakers. Thanks to the user-friendly new features, the new app will serve as a reliable companion for our customers and guide them through their whole sports betting adventure from the moment they place a bet until they withdraw the winnings by their preferable payout method.”

Applications with long loading times are no longer fit for today’s world of mobile communications. During peak hours, the volume of actively traded events reaches up to 300 with up to 1,400 odds traded per event. With an average change of forces every 10 seconds, the volume of transmitted data requires a naturally new approach when it comes to the need of being in touch with all the changes on the field using a smartphone, even the older models. “One should abandon relying on the same old tools we used in the pre-mobile era, because smartphones have dramatically changed the very nature of how we interact with the internet,” said Michael Schmidt. “Stakers’ highly proficient team is working to remove any hurdles deteriorating our customer’s betting experience. With Stakers.com’s mobile application, score updates sometimes become available even faster than you might get them on your TV broadcasts. Our new mobile application will drastically increase player experience and would allow player concentrate on the actual odds, rather than see the goal scored 10 seconds ago on the TV. No longer do you need to follow all matches you might be betting on — all the scores are now just one tap away in your Stakers’ app”.

The application seamlessly features statistics offering a real-time view of past events, live event statistics as well as lineups. The event tracker follows the game with a tracker in tact with the action.

The all-new Stakers mobile application is available for all mobile devices users and is supported by all popular mobile browsers. “Our new mobile PWA is available on all mobile devices and tablets with Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Opera installed”, Schmidt said. “Our proprietary compression algorithm changes the game having the application fully stable even on the slowest networks”.

Besides sports pre-match and live-in-play betting, users of the app will benefit from more notable features including casino, live casino, financial betting and many others to keep the customers engaged and enhance their betting experience. It is the first time when PWA has been introduced for financial betting, thus allowing settling these kinds of bets without any delay.

Progressive Web Apps is a Google initiative to make mobile web better. PWAs eliminate friction by using the web to deliver app-level experiences. Stakers is the first in the industry to present a fully progressive mobile web application.
