Northern Cyprus – Another Cyprus order holds EGT in good Merit

By - 10 June 2015

Five top-class casinos in Cyprus have installed Euro Games Technology’s machines after an initial deal of Premier and Vega Vision+ cabinets to operator Merit.

The casino group has now opted for the new P-24/24 St Slim model and the patron winning Egypt Quest progressive jackpot.

Merit Casino Lefkoşa, Merit Crystal Cove, Merit Park Casino, Merit Cyprus Garden and Merit Royal Casino have all installed EGT.

The hotel management company, based in Turkey also has a number of international projects in its portfolio. Six of its seven hotels and casinos are located in Northern Cyprus. The resorts’ overall slot total is 1,500.

Merit first partnered with EGT in 2012, placing its first equipment order for 50 cabinets P-24/24 Up from Premier Series with Multi-3 and Multi-4 game mixes and 25 slant top Vega Vision+ machines. Their high performance saw that number increased. The recent new delivery, this time of 18 slant top cabinets P-24/24 St Slim with a Premier Multi-5 game mix and a bank of 10 Egypt Quest machines, sharing the biggest jackpot panel of EGT (55-inch, double-sided), strengthens even further the partnership between the two companies.”

Nuh Yondem, Slot Director of Merit International, said: “My only regret is that we didn’t install earlier. After our first installation, we noticed how high the potential of these products is. We believe that establishing a closer cooperation with EGT may further improve our way of meeting players’ demands and consider this a strong business advantage.”

Mario Trayanski, Regional Sales Manager of EGT for the Balkans, added: “The strength of our machines is beyond any doubt, successfully attracting returning players. EGT’s products are created with this concept in mind. I wasn’t surprised when told by our partners in Cyprus that our cabinets were performing among the best in their casinos and had achieved a really high time-on-machine rates per day. This is a strong argument for EGT’s future growth in Cyprus and, if we keep up this momentum, we may soon turn into a main casino equipment supplier on the island.”
