Satoshi Sakamoto, Chief Executive Officer, said that the Singapore Branch would operate under the experienced leadership of John Gomes, who will serve as the branch’s general manager. Mr. Gomes will report directly to Eduardo Aching, Vice President of international sales, and in this role he will coordinate sales, marketing and service efforts in the region, leveraging resources and assets from Konami’s United States and Australian offices. Mr. Gomes brings 25 years of gaming industry experience to the role from both the operator and supplier sides and has an extensive background in international sales management and business development. “I am thrilled to be joining Konami, a respected company with a strong reputation around the world. My primary objective is to continue to deliver quality products to the market while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction,” said Mr. Gomes. “I will be attending G2E in Las Vegas and I look forward to reviewing our plans for the new office, as well as Konami’s innovative and performance-oriented catalog of games and systems products, with those who are attending the show. Konami has experienced success in Asian gaming markets with products such as Podium and Advantage 5, and we will continue to unveil innovative products to support our presence in the market. This office will focus on bringing Konami’s best products and dedicated customer support to this growing regional market.”
