Spain – R. Franco celebrates its 50th anniversary

By - 11 May 2015

Spain’s R. Franco Group is in the midst of celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

As a major part of this jubilee, the R. Franco Group gathered all its employees together on April 24, following the events held previously with different authorities, partners, friends and clients from all over the world.

The Masía de José Luis, in Madrid, was the place chosen to enjoy the party intended to enhance the value of what is probably is the group’s most important asset: its employees. It was quite an event, animated by a jazz group and with different fair stands, the prelude of a celebration to remember, and a mixture of happiness, enjoyment, emotion and memories.

Speeches were given by General Manager Pedro Melendo, Miguel Angel González, Human Resources Manager, who referred to the history of Joaquín and Jesús Franco, and also to the long and successful story of the R. Franco Group, which obviously made special mention of those past, and present milestones reached and also those which, in the future, will beat every record within the entertaining industry. This speech was full of anecdotes and memories capped by some images from the former Group headquarters and the evolution of its image and brand.

And who could be better to speak of the history of the Group on behalf of all its team than the oldest working employee? He addressed the audience with a speech that highlighted his gratitude and emotion, followed by the Chairman of the Works Council, who stressed the teamwork which is inherent in the Group’s DNA and the vocation for servicing clients.

And, as could not have been otherwise, after watching a video commemorating these 50 years, Jesús Franco, Chairman of the Group, closed this series of speeches with an emotional and inspiring chronicle full of anecdotes, which received a warm and long, very long standing ovation.

Afterwards it was time for a new family photo, followed by a cocktail and a series of different shows, including magic, dancing, a fancy dress photo contest and an ingredient that could not be missing: karaoke.
