Turkey – Intralot makes bid for Turkey’s sports betting licence

Intralot has made a bid to the Sportoto State Organisation competition to manage its sports betting for 10 years through its Turisk subsidiary Intelek.
It submitted its final financial offer on February 13 and awaits the decision of the Competition Committee. Intelek has been active in Turkey’s sports betting market since 2004 and manages the current IDDAA betting license with a contract expiring on August 28 2019. Intralot owns 50.01 per cent of Bilyoner, one of Turkey’s online betting agents, with a market share of approximately 40 per cent of the online market. Bilyoner’s activity accounts for 42 per cent of Intralot’s EBIDTA and 55 per cent of Intralot’s revenues in Turkey.
