UK – Bacta Bikers raise hopes for Rays of Sunshine

By - 28 September 2017

Specialist gaming control design and manufacturer Heber has supported the super-heroic efforts of the bacta Bikers in raising funds for the Rays of Sunshine UK charity.

The bacta bikers formed in 1991 are a group of motorcyclists working within the UK Amusement and Gaming industry who regularly undertake various challenging and elaborate journeys to raise money for worthy causes. Challenges have included John O’Groats to Lands End, Monte Carlo or Bust and To Hell and Back (Hell is a little town in Northern Norway). This year’s fundraising is no exception with a full UK tour visiting a number of suppliers to the UK Amusement and Gaming industry. However, there’s a catch: they will be wearing super hero costumes as part of the challenge.

Andy Murden from Electrocoin aka ‘Leader of the pack’ explains, “The Rays of Sunshine charity does some amazing work with children who are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses across the UK. We are really pleased that we can help them out by raising money- especially with these super hero outfits on”. Simon Rose, Heber Gaming’s Business Development Manager joined the bacta bikers on their South Wales collection ride-out dressed as Iron Man. Together with Heber’s Managing Director Les Ashton-Smith, they presented a cheque for £250 to add to the super money-raising efforts.
