Lottomatica subsidiary GTech Corporation has signed a four-year contract extension with Camelot UK Lotteries running up to February 2023 for the continued supply of lottery technology, related services, and additional lottery products for the operation of the UK National Lottery.
GTech expects to receive more than €200m in revenue over the four-year extension, commencing in the first quarter of 2019. Camelot has been the operator of the UK National Lottery since its inception in 1994.
GTech President and CEO Jaymin Patel said: “We welcome the opportunity to extend our long-standing partnership with Camelot. The UK National Lottery is a highly-regarded organization, raising more than US$ 46.8 billion for Good Causes in the UK since it began selling lottery tickets in 1994. We greatly value and respect the relationship we have established with Camelot and the National Lottery. We look forward to continuing to support Camelot over the next decade and actively helping to raise additional funds for Good Causes.”
Under the terms of the extension agreement, GTech will supply Camelot with 8,000 Altura lottery terminals, which will be used for retailer expansion, bringing the total number of online terminals to more than 36,700 country-wide. In addition to continuing to provide GTech’s Enterprise Series technology, GTech will continue to provide ongoing services to Camelot including software development, maintenance, and support; field maintenance; and terminal repair services.
