UK – Coral to launch Cheltenham Live Roulette

In an industry first, Coral Bookmakers has taken the innovative step to stream all 28 races from The Cheltenham Festival, the racing calendar’s biggest event of the year, in its Live Casino channel – via mobile, website and the App.
This is the first time that a major live sporting event will be presented alongside live casino action.
One of Coral’s live roulette tables will be re-branded as ‘The Cheltenham Room’ for the week, with a screen that will stream every race live from the festival. Racing expert Mark Grantham will stand alongside the dealer and screen and present detailed information in the minutes before the off, highlighting the ground conditions, current form of the runners and riders and some of the current odds.
To encourage player interaction special promotions will be available that are inspired by the up-to-the-minute action at Cheltenham. The numbers from Cheltenham’s winning horses will be used as lucky numbers by the dealers, if these land each player who staked more than £5 will receive a £5 free bet. In addition to the lucky numbers there will be a Cheltenham free bet wheel as well as favourite horse golden chips.
“Our customers are not only multi-channel but they are increasingly interested in both sports and gaming, they want to go straight to the heart of the action and so it’s key that we introduce new ways to play – Cheltenham Live Roulette does just that,” says Antonio Ruggeri, Live Casino Product Manager from Coral.
In keeping with the main event of the week, The Cheltenham Room will feature horse racing images on the walls and the dealers will be dressed in race-goers’ outfits, complete with hats.
