UK – Empire to hold social casino experiment this week

The Casino at The Empire will be performing the world’s first ever social casino experiment this week.
Team members inside the casino have undergone weeks of training and preparation and now a competition winner has been chosen as a participant to test an experiment in crowdsourcing the decisions of one gambler.
Using the powers of social media, the social casino experiment will give David; the lucky winner, a chance to utilise the power of the social sphere to help guide his betting choices, sharing his every decision on the @EmpireCasino official twitter feed.
With £1,000 worth of chips to play with and a potential £300 tab for the Carlsberg VIP Room or Icon Bar, David will be able to play a number of games throughout the day including Blackjack, American Roulette and Three Card Poker.
Peter Turpin, Venue Director for The Casino at The Empire said: “Shaping and changing the way in which casino gaming is performed has always been in the forefront of our vision for Caesars Entertainment. We’re excited to take this project forward and give one individual a chance to test it out. Thursday will be a truly exciting day for the whole gaming industry.”
The competition, which has been open for two weeks, enticed entries from around the globe, inviting users to submit themselves as the winner. The Social Casino Experiment will go live from 3:00pm on August 8 2013 and anyone on twitter will be able to tweet using the #SocialCasino hashtag, delivering their opinions on how David should play. Any winnings David will be allowed to take home and he is not liable for any losses.
