By - 22 June 2017

As Wimbledon approaches, GVC has an unveiled a complete overhaul of its tennis offer to introduce new data feeds and in-play score visualisation graphics that dramatically improve the speed and quality of the customer experience.

The Group has recently concluded multi-year agreements with both of the major suppliers of real-time tennis data, who collectively supply up-to-the-moment statistics on nearly all professional tennis matches. IMG, now supply GVC’s sportsbooks with official data from three Grand Slam tournaments as well as 19,000 matches from the ATP (men’s), WTA (women’s) and ATP Challenger professional tours, while Sportradar provide its data for all Tennis Australia events, including the Australian Open, and the ITF Tour.

With both feeds now fully automated and integrated into GVC’s sports technology platform, bwin and Sportingbet customers have seen in-play bet delays reduced by over 66 per cent and now enjoy a truly live betting experience. The automated feeds have also eliminated capacity issues that arose from the previous process, meaning the Group can offer bets on far more events, all at the same great quality.
Alongside the integration of high quality data, GVC has revamped its user interface with a more advanced graphic presentation which improves player engagement and product usability. In addition, bwin has expanded its live event streaming, so that customers can view more matches on their device in real time.

GVC’s Chief Product Officer Liron Snir said: “Our mission is to deliver a best-in-class service in everything we do, but frankly until now our tennis offer was not where we wanted it to be.
“In a sport where the score changes by the second, having the best quality data is of paramount importance, while presenting the betting options in a user friendly way is essential. We have taken huge strides in this product revamp and we will continue to fine tune it based on feedback from our players.”

To celebrate the relaunch of its tennis offer bwin is running the bwin Tennis Challenge with a prize pool of €500,000. To compete players place bets to collect points and rise up the leaderboard for their chance to win. Full terms and conditions are available at bwin.com.
