UK – ICE to host its first ever Tribal Gaming Seminar

By - 31 December 2013

Organisers of the upcoming ICE Totally Gaming show, to be held at London’s ExCeL from February 4 to 6, have announced the format and content for the show’s first ever Tribal Gaming Seminar.

Taking place on Wednesday February 5 in the South Gallery Room 12, the free-to-attend seminar, which is the result of close co-operation with Victor Rocha of Pechanga.net, will deal with key issues including an historical overview of Tribal gaming, a Tribal perspective on Internet gaming, a focus on California, how to partner with tribes and the misconceptions which exist about Tribal versus commercial gaming.

Summarising the background to the ground breaking event, Clarion’s Ewa Bakun said: “A business success in the Indian Country requires an understanding of tribal sovereignty which dictates the decisions made by tribal governments, gaming commissions and casinos. With more and more tribes attending ICE and Clarion’s other European events, we felt there was scope to create a platform for them to both educate the global industry on the intricacies of doing business in the Indian Country and to network with the iGaming experts to explore potential partnership opportunities.

“With the Tribal governments exploring strategies to adopt iGaming as the US opens up, ICE, the world’s largest gaming event, is an ideal place for the international community to understand the opportunities for collaboration with this lucrative and evolving industry, which is known to few outside North America.”
