UK – NMi appoints Security Business Manager in company expansion

By - 19 March 2015

Compliance expert NMi has announced the recruitment of Simon Fowler as Security Business Manager in the execution of a plan to develop and extend the company’s existing security and auditing services.

Mr. Fowler, who has significant experience in global companies across the defence, finance and telco industries joins the UK gaming division at their laboratory base in Bangor, North Wales, to lead the security business.

With the increase in activity in the UK following the new United Kingdom Gambling Commission guidelines, and increasing international legislation surrounding security compliance frequently emerging, Simon will hold responsibility for consolidating existing services and heading the strategic development of NMi’s dynamic security compliance solutions.

Mr. Fowler, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) – qualifications which certify an individual’s knowledge in the field of information security – commented: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to make a real impact in the gaming sector by applying the knowledge and skills obtained from different markets. There is a vast scope and demand for security services in the industry as regulations and legislation continually emerge. It’s a true privilege to have joined such a forward thinking global organisation and I look forward to contributing to the expansion of the enterprise.”

Andrew Rosewarne, Managing Director for NMi Gaming: “Simon is a key recruit in our growing team. Ensuring our clients have a clear roadmap to compliance and are suitably equipped to face emerging security requirements is of paramount importance to us as an organisation. Simon’s knowledge and background brings invaluable skills and opportunities to this arm of the business.”
