UK – OpenBet makes two senior hires as it continues recruitment drive

By - 28 July 2015

OpenBet has boosted its senior management team with the appointments of Tod Martin as COO and Dominic Le Garsmeur as Casino Vice President.

The executives, who both have extensive industry knowledge, have been brought in to help facilitate OpenBet’s ambitious global growth plans.

OpenBet CEO Jeremy Thompson-Hill said: “Both Tod and Dominic are highly experienced – I am proud to welcome them to the team. They will bring new ideas and fresh perspectives to OpenBet that will be of huge benefit to our company and our clients, while allowing us to continue to improve our product offering and service levels. These appointments should be seen as a measure of our intent to grow in new areas and new markets. But our recruitment plans don’t end here – we are looking to bring in talent across the company to drive and handle expansion from new business.”

Mr. Martin joins from leading online operator Betway, where he was CTO since 2013, having previously held the same position at bwin.party and PartyGaming.

He first moved into gaming in 2006, where he led software development for PartyGaming’s Poker, Casino, Sports, Bingo and e-Gaming platform products and the launch of multi-channel solutions. He later led the integration of bwin and PartyGaming products and technology teams across Europe and Asia. Martin has spent more than 25 years in the software industry, beginning with Andersen Consulting’s (Accenture) technology practice.

“I am very excited to join the OpenBet team. OpenBet’s industry leading position in omni-channel solutions, combined with a strong client base and outstanding delivery record, place us well for continued innovation and success,” said Mr. Martin.

New Casino Vice President Mr. Le Garsmeur was previously Product Director at NEKTAN. He joined the mobile developer in February 2014 after spending eight years in a variety of product roles at PartyGaming, and later bwin.party, after its merger with the bookmaker.

“I’m really excited to be part of the talented team here at OpenBet. It’s an already hugely successful business with even more potential waiting to be unlocked,” he said.
