UK – WorldPay deal enables videogame betting

By - 10 October 2013

WorldPay, has signed a contract with UK-based real-money gaming (RMG) platform Betable to integrate WorldPay’s payment processing, fraud detection and risk services into Betable’s RMG development platform and player-facing Betable Wallet. Videogame developers will benefit from delivering the safety and speed of WorldPay’s functionality while giving their players the innovative RMG experiences made possible by the Betable platform.

“Betable is the only platform that provides videogame developers with the unprecedented opportunity to offer real-money play within their own games,” said Shane Happach, Chief Commercial Officer, WorldPay. “Powering Betable’s services with WorldPay’s payment processing functionality assures developers that when their users opt to play their games for real-money their transaction success will be maximised.”

“The value of having WorldPay’s services integrated into our platform and player-facing Betable Wallet is enormous,” said Ryan Linton, Betable’s Chief Revenue Officer. “Our partners can rest assured that we are giving them the tools they need to deliver the best possible real-money gaming experience to their players.”

Betable is the world’s only platform that provides developers with access to the $32bn online gambling market by enabling them to legally offer real-money play in their own games. The company, licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, provides the support and infrastructure for developers to integrate RMG into new or existing games.

Players based in jurisdictions where online gambling is legal have the option of playing Betable-powered games for real-money. The first time they opt to play, they will be taken through the simple process of registering for and depositing funds into their Betable Wallet, which now offers most major payment methods thanks to WorldPay’s integration.
