US – 888 now live with sports betting in New Jersey

By - 10 September 2018

888 Holdings has become the latest operator to go live in New Jersey’s sports betting market, powered by its long-term sportsbook provider Kambi.

As with its poker and casino products, the sportsbook has been launched under Caesars Entertainment’s licence in the state. It marks the first time the operator has offered sports betting to US customers, and complements its existing casino and poker products, including Live Dealer, in the state.

The company has added 200 new games to its New Jersey casino offering including the introduction of a significant new portfolio of Live Dealer casino games. In addition, its poker network includes New Jersey from April, thereby enabling poker players across the three regulated US states of Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey to compete with one another.
“The launch of 888sport in New Jersey is a major milestone for the Company in our ongoing expansion across the regulated US online gaming market and provides 888 with a unique and truly multi-product proposition in what is currently the largest regulated U.S state,” 888 chief executive Itai Frieberger said.

“888 has been committed to developing its position in the US since launching in Nevada, the first regulated US state, nearly six years ago and today we are the only operator with a presence in all three regulated US states,” he explained. “We now have our sport, casino and poker products all operational in the US and are continually developing our proposition, brands and technology to ensure that the group remains exceptionally well positioned to capture the potentially significant future growth opportunities as new regulation allows.”
