US – Entropy to design GameCo’s video game gambling cabinet

By - 8 April 2016

GameCo is employing Entropy International to design and develop the arcade-style cabinet for its video game gambling machine (VGM).

Entropy is a total solution provider specialising in product development and manufacturing for the gaming and amusement industries.

The VGM, which resembles an arcade-style video game cabinet, allows gamers to gamble, utilizing their skill, playing popular video games while delivering the same return to players as traditional slot machines. Games are familiar titles from top publishers featuring various genres and themes including first person action, sports, racing, fighting games and more played in 30-90 second experiences. GameCo worked with Entropy to build its first cabinets, and expects to begin field trials with major casino partners in 2016.

Blaine Graboyes, CEO of GameCo, said: “Entropy has an outstanding professional reputation it has built over the past 30 years, which made them the perfect partner to bring our vision to life. Together, we have created a truly state-of-the-art experience that speaks directly to the nearly 93 million adult Americans that play video games.”

Norm Wurz, Chief Technology Officer of Entropy International, said: “We are excited to be partnered with GameCo on this new endeavour into the realm of skill-based gaming. It is always exciting to participate on the leading edge of new possibilities.”

With this innovative technology platform, GameCo’s mission is to attract the next generation of casino players to gaming designations worldwide.
