US – GAN to provide Simulated Gaming for Rock Gaming

By - 18 February 2016

GAN (GameAccount Network) has signed an agreement with a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rock Gaming for the launch of Simulated Gaming, pending regulatory approval.

Rock Gaming and its affiliates’ portfolio of properties include over 13,000 gaming positions, more than 400,000 square feet of gaming space, over 600 hotel rooms, and 35 bars and restaurants.  Rock Gaming is comprised of approximately 7,000 team members across four Midwestern US states and generates more than $1bn in revenues annually. Simulated Gaming will launch for Rock Gaming’s three Ohio properties – Horseshoe Casino Cleveland, Horseshoe Casino Cincinnatti and ThistleDown Racino – representing a combined 5,000 slot or video lottery terminals, generating in excess of $500m annually.

The Simulated Gaming offering will be operated from an instance of the GameSTACK Internet gaming system deployed in Las Vegas Nevada and is expected to go live across web and mobile in the first half of 2016. It will integrate with the Rock Gaming Ohio properties’ loyalty program.

GAN’s US-patented iBridge Framework will link the GameSTACK Internet gaming system to Rock Gaming’s land-based casino management system deployed in Ohio.

Simulated Gaming is an innovative Internet gaming service designed by GAN specifically for land-based US casinos, offering a gaming-as-entertainment consumer website and mobile apps that include over 200 casino slot and table games, including poker, backgammon, gin rummy, poker dice and blackjack tournaments.
Dermot Smurfit, CEO of GAN commented: “Our Simulated Gaming partnership with Rock Gaming is another major step in expanding our Simulated Gaming offering in the United States where we have pursued a regional strategy now deployed coast-to-coast. Rock Gaming’s Ohio properties provide GAN with access to a significant part of the Midwestern US region which we will be privileged to launch online before the summer.”
Matthew Cullen, CEO of Rock Gaming, commented: Rock Gaming is thrilled to partner with GAN to deploy an exciting social gaming experience for our casino patrons in Ohio. After a careful review of the fast-growing online social casino market, GAN proved to be a great match for our needs and the needs of our patrons. We look forward to being able to offer our patrons a fun and interactive way to engage with our properties in Ohio.”
