US – Seneca Gaming to launch MGTSports daily fantasy

By - 25 March 2015

The Seneca Gaming Corporation will be joining the MGTSports daily fantasy network, owned by MGT Capital Investments, with players at the three Seneca Resorts & Casino properties, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino, and Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, able to play their favourite fantasy sports on an easy to use website featuring multiple game formats in seven sports.

The site will be available for play online, plus will feature the addition of exclusive games to be held on property in which players can win cash prizes and other unique offerings.

Robert Traversa, Chief Financial Officer of MGT, stated: “We are extremely excited to be the first daily fantasy sports site to be working with the three world class Seneca properties in Western New York — home to some of the most passionate sports fans in the world.”

Daily games will include pro and college football, baseball, hockey, golf, and pro basketball. Plans are also underway to integrate the Seneca Players Club program into the platform, allowing members to earn rewards and benefits as they play. Players Club members will also have the opportunity to win exclusive destination events to be held at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, the company’s flagship resort in Niagara Falls, New York. Looking ahead, during baseball and football seasons, the gaming floor can be expected to have a heightened level of excitement.

Audrey Oswell, Chief Operating Officer of Seneca Gaming Corporation said: “Seneca Gaming Corporation has always been focused on providing our guests the best and most exciting gaming and entertainment atmosphere possible. This agreement with MGT affords guests at our Seneca Resorts & Casinos properties an exciting new experience to enjoy. Daily fantasy sports are extremely popular and we expect a growing number of our guests to enjoy this skill-based game in the coming years.”
