US – Tropicana Atlantic City to get $35m facelift

Tropicana Entertainment, owned by billionaire Carl Icahn, is investing US$35m into renovating its Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City bringing a new LED light show to its exterior.

The money would also see 434 hotel rooms in the Tropicana’s north tower refurbished with work expected to be completed by 2015.

Tropicana’s President, Tony Rodio, said: “We are excited about the prospect of creating and investing in these innovative renovations. The new Boardwalk façade and interactive light and sound show would extend the excitement and fun guests experience inside Tropicana AC to guests outside on the Boardwalk.”
