With the symbolic cutting of the ribbon, they gave the go-ahead for casino operations at the new location and emphasised the importance of the project for the city, the entire region and the Swiss Casinos Group in their speeches. Around 500 guests from politics, business and society took part in the festive opening and were the first to gain an insight into the most modern casino in Europe, which presents itself with a wide range of games, a stylish ambience and contemporary gastronomy.
The new Swiss Casino Winterthur is now open to all visitors and contributes to enriching the city’s entertainment offer in the long term.

Hans-Ueli Rihs, majority shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss Casinos, said: “We would like to express our sincere thanks to the City of Winterthur and its people for their open and constructive cooperation, as well as to the responsible authorities and the Federal Council for the trust they have placed in us. This extraordinary project was made possible above all thanks to the great commitment of our employees, who have contributed with a lot of dedication and passion every day.”

Marcel Tobler, CEO of Swiss Casinos, said: “Gaming culture in Winterthur means rethinking gaming, service and technology – the well-being of our guests is always at the centre. Through targeted innovations and automation of repetitive processes, we are creating more time for our employees to meet in real life.”

Daniel Kullmann, Director of Swiss Casino Winterthur, said: For me personally, this moment is something special – not only because we are opening a casino today, but because this project shows what is possible when people take joint responsibility and believe in an idea.”

The venue operates with 220 slots and a range of table games.
