Argentina – New casino and hotel to open in Santa Rosa

A new casino will open its doors in the city of Santa Rosa as part of a four-star hotel with 87 rooms.
According to Ricardo Benedicto President of Casino Club the hotel could open by the end of September. The casino will be located in Santa Rosa in the capital of La Pampa Province, Argentina. The hotel will form part of the Accor Group of hotels which is present in 10 countries in Latin America and has 255 hotels in operation under the Sofitel, Pullman, Novotel, Mercure, and Ibis budget brands.
The new hotel opening in Santa Rosa will be part of the Mecure brand of hotels and will require an investment of around 250m pesos (around US$27m).
The new casino will be the the only gaming centre in the city when it opens its doors as the only slot parlour will close once the new casino is inaugurated.
According to Mr. Benedict: “It is part of the agreement that when the hotel opens the slot parlour in the centre will close. In fact it will close a few days before because the employees of this room are going to relocate to the the casino and hotel. ”
The casino will have 87 rooms, 12 of them suites, and one presidential suite. There will be a restaurant on the second floor and two conference rooms with a capacity of 360 visitors in each. It will be eight floors tall, will have two swimming pools, and will be equipped with a gym, spa, bar, cafeteria and casino.
In all the building will encompass a total of 7,000 square meters including the underground and outside parking areas. Combined with the car park outside, which will lead directly to the casino, once completed it will cover a total of 17,000 sq. m.
Head of Operations for Accor Hernán Awruch said: “It’s another attraction in the city, and residents of the villages and towns surrounding it can come for a weekend to visit and enjoy the hotel and experience the best quality service available.”
