Casino Canberra has now reopened having ceasing operations more than four months since first closing its doors on March 23.

Its owners Aquis Entertainment Group, owned by Hong Kong businessman Tony Fung, said the casino would operate on a limited basis with customers being served alcohol needing to be seated, a maximum of 100 people per defined area, excluding staff, and a limit of one person per four square meters of usable space.

The workforce will ‘to a capacity of between 50 per cent and 100 per cent.’

Mr. Fung said: “Allison (Gallaugher, CEO) and her team have worked hard during the shutdown in controlling the company through the hibernation period and preparing for reopening under restricted trading conditions. We look forward to seeing our employees and patrons returning to the casino in the coming weeks.”
