SkyCity Entertainment Group has confirmed it is being forced to close its Adelaide casino and entertainment facilities again following the announcement made by the South Australian Government that a range of new state-wide COVID-19 restrictions will be implemented in response to a new COVID-19 cluster in Adelaide.
SkyCity Adelaide is currently expected to remain closed for the following six days until midnight on November 24.
The group said: “The new SkyCity Adelaide expansion development, including the 120-room luxury hotel Eos by SkyCity, was scheduled to open in late November 2020. The opening will now be delayed in light of the latest restrictions. SkyCity’s New Zealand properties are unaffected by the latest restrictions in South Australia and remain open at Alert Level 1 in New Zealand.”
Adelaide saw 18 new cases of coronavirus reported in a single day.
