By - 27 July 2020

SkyCity has revealed details of four new restaurants and two new bars set to reshape the dining landscape in Adelaide, with Sol Bar and Restaurant announced as the jewel in the crown.

Sol, the Latin term for sun, is a revolutionary take on a rooftop bar and restaurant for South Australia, offering an unforgettable dining experience from breakfast through to dinner. Guests will be treated to breakfast views of the sun rising over the Adelaide Hills, and then dazzled over cocktails and music as it sets on the coast.

SkyCity also announced restaurants Huami, ITL and Lucky Noodle, which along with the Westward bar will be opening in the coming months. All new venues will have access to SkyCity’s 7,500 bottle master cellar, boasting a focus on South Australian wines.

Premier Steven Marshall said the SkyCity expansion is set to be a tourism drawcard for South Australia.

“We are really looking forward to the opening of these new restaurants and hotel because it will give more reasons for people to visit Adelaide and our regions, to experience our world-class food, wine and hospitality.”

SkyCity Adelaide General Manager, David Christian, said the $330m new hotel, Eos by SkyCity, and world-class SkyCity entertainment precinct is nearing completion.

“We’re thrilled to play a part in shining a light on the South Australian tourism industry, as well as attracting interstate and international visitors back to our state, when the time is right.

“This investment by SkyCity is not only helping to transform our entertainment and tourism industry, but also offering the hospitality industry some incredible recruitment opportunities, with the SkyCity workforce set to expand by approximately 700 employees by the middle of next year.”
