Australia – Slot specialist Lightning Box releases first table game

By - 21 November 2022

Lightning Box has debuted its first table game, Keno, that will see players picking between three to ten numbers from a grid of 80 possible choices.

The round then begins, and 20 numbers are randomly drawn and displayed on the grid, with at least two matching numbers awarding a win. Players have an option to pick these numbers themselves or have them determined randomly by the quick pick feature.

Drawn numbers can be revealed with a lightning bolt symbol attached to them, landing six or more of these awards the lightning respin round. Here three respins are unlocked and reels are randomly made active and are highlighted by lightning bolts. Landing an instant cash prize within this reel resets the respins to three and awards the prize shown.

Additionally, 2×2 and 3×3 Colossal symbols can be landed on the reels. These can award instant cash prizes along with jackpots consisting of Mini, Minor, Major or Grand jackpot prizes. If landed on an active reel, these also reset the three respins.

Keno will be exclusively available via Rank Interactive for two weeks before being made available to customers of Light & Wonder’s OpenGaming platform alongside popular new titles such as Crystal Vault and Blood and Gold.

Rob Procter, VP Game Development at Light & Wonder, commented: “Keno demonstrates Lightning Box’s flexibility to produce engaging and entertaining titles, with this being the first table game created by the studio. They have blended a traditional table game with the much-adored lightning respin mechanic that we are confident players will enjoy.”
