Austria – Casinos Austria prepares to reopen its 12 casinos and 17 of its arcades

Casinos Austria will be reopening all 12 of its Austrian casinos on May 29, although operations will be limited.

The group operates casinos in Baden, Bregenz, Graz, Innsbruck, Kitzbühel, Kleinwalsertal, Linz, Salzburg, Seefeld, Velden, Vienna and Zell am See.

The group stated: “Under the motto # dasGLÜCKistback, the employees look forward to being able to personally greet the guests again after the corona-related closure and to offer play, excitement and enjoyment again as part of a restricted operation.”

Social distancing will be enforced on the gaming floor with customers having to stay at least one metre apart from other guests, and wear a mask while in the property. The properties will accept cash payments, although customers have been told to pay with contactless card where possible.The minimum clearance must be observed at the gaming tables and the slots. The casino restaurants will also reopen from May 29. A total of 17 of the 20 WINWIN locations in Austria will also reopen from May 29. These are the WINWINs in Salzburg (Bischofshofen, Salzburg city), Tyrol (Kufstein, Landeck, Lienz, Schwaz, Innsbruck), Lower Austria (Krems, Wiener Neustadt), Upper Austria (Schärding, Steyr, Vöcklabruck, Wels), Vienna (Monte Laa, 2x Vienna Prater) and Carinthia (Wolfsberg).

The group added: “In order to curb the spread of the virus and prevent health risks to individuals, we ask our guests to comply with the published guidelines and precautions. If customers have had contact with people with confirmed or suspected SARS-CoV-2 infection, we ask them to refrain from visiting our WINWIN locations. On the recommendation of the health authorities, we kindly ask guests who have travelled directly from risky areas in Italy, China and other countries over the past two weeks not to visit the WINWIN locations for safety reasons, especially if the first symptoms of flu appear.”
