Austria – Neumann to replace Wohlfahrt as Novomatic CEO

Harald Neumann is to replace Franz Wohlfarht as Novomatic Group CEO. Mr. Neumann (52), who for the last three years  has been involved in major investments and international projects for the Novomatic Group, will be appointed to his new position on October 1. He succeeds Franz Wohlfahrt (54), who is retiring at his own request after 10 years as CEO at the end of September.

The group supplies gaming technology and is one of the largest integrated gaming companies in the world, operating 230,000 machines around the globe and with more than 20,000 staff. Mr. Wohlfahrt has been the Novomatic’s general manager for the last 10 years, and is also a member of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys (IAGA) and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL). Mr. Wohlfahrt will continue to act as a consultant and as a partner on of the supervisory board.
