The Bahamas – Kerzner to step down as Kerzner International Chairman

Sol Kerzner is to step down from his position as Chairman of Kerzner International following the sale of a ‘significant’ number of shares in the company to the Investment Corporation of Dubai.
Executive director and CEO Mohammed Al Shaibani will take over the position of Chairman.
Mr Kerzner said: “I am exceptionally proud of all that has been accomplished at Kerzner International. This is a significant milestone in my life after a long and happy career in the tourism industry and I wish the company well. I am confident that with ICD’s guidance, the company will fulfil on its upcoming expansions towards further growth and global reach.”
Kerzner International Holdings operates under the brands of One&Only and Atlantis with three resorts in Dubai, two in the Bahamas and others in Mauritius, the Maldives, Mexico, and South Africa.
Last year the company lost control of its Atlantis branded properties in Dubai and the Bahamas due to debt restructuring.
