By - 12 April 2016

Jimei International Entertainment Group has said it will team up with Yeejia Tourism Development Company and MCC International Incorporation to develop an integrated-entertainment casino complex in Cambodia’s coastal region of Sihanoukville.

The announcement, made to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, said the integrated resort would include a hotel, golf course, and theme park along with other entertainment amenities and tourist services.

Yeejia Tourism Development Company is a Cambodian resort developer whilst MCC International is a Chinese constructor.

A handful of small casinos already exist in Sihanoukville. Jimei is a Hong Kong-based, Macau junket group which ties to VIP tables in Cambodia’s NagaWorld and Jimei Casino in Macau.

Sihanoukville has been in the news recently following approvals from Cambodia’s Council of Ministers for Malasian-based developer Salient Ventures to run casinos, online gaming, nightclubs, karaoke bars, massage parlours and dog racing in the region.

The subsidiary of SV International, said it wanted to develop a ‘Macau of Southeast Asia.’
