Cambodia – Lion King confirms relocation of tables to Ming Guan Hotel

By - 8 July 2020

Cambodian casino operator Lion King Entertainment has said it will relocate its table games from Sihanoukville’s Sunshine Bay Hotel to the newly opened Parisian Casino at the Ming Guan Hotel, also in Sihanoukville.

Lion King, owned by Hong Kong’s Century Entertainment International, formerly known as Amax International, said it was moving after the hotel’s owner refused improved lease terms following the coronavirus closures.

The operator said it had secured ‘comparatively more attractive terms’ at the new venue where the new casino will fill the ‘entire block of hotel and facilities at a lower lease rate.’

The operator added: “Lion King has considered that it would be definitely beneficial to the business performance of the Casino in the long run and has decided to move the operation of the Casino from its existing location at Sunshine Bay Hotel to the potential new location.”
