Canada – Altenar sportsbook makes North America debut in Ontario

By - 31 August 2022

Altenar is set to enter the newly regulated market of Ontario, Canada after being granted a Gaming Related Supplier licence by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Offering competitive margins up to zero per cent on selected major events, Altenar is set to harness real-time official data for its Canada-facing sportsbook, spanning MLB, NBA, NHL, CFL, NFL and esports.

Commenting on Altenar’s entry into Ontario, Antonis Karakousis, Director of Operations, said: “We are delighted to be bringing our best-in-class services to the newly regulated market of Ontario.

“We look forward to bringing a bespoke, rewarding betting experience to the customer base in this exciting new market, specifically tailored to cater to their needs – and the result of extensive research and development.

“We had to meet a list of standards and a variety of requirements, as well as auditing our sportsbook with an independent test lab, but the potential of this province means it was more than worth the challenge.

“We continue to make worldwide progress as a company and going live in Ontario is proof of that.”

Available via desktop and native mobile app, Altenar’s offering includes its latest bet builder and early payout on multiple sports, as well as an offering of player props and parlays and teasers.

The provider’s launch follows a 150 per cent surge for total bets and player count over 2021, with specialisations across esports, data and virtuals.
