Canada – Cascades Casino Kamloops set for August 19 opening

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment is set to open its new first-class gaming and entertainment destination in Kamloops on August 19.
This project is a $34m investment to the Kamloops economy and has created 200 new permanent jobs. With these new jobs Cascades Kamloops will employ 330 people in the community. All new employees started customer service training at the beginning of July.
The Cascades project is part of the ambitious redevelopment strategy Gateway is undertaking in BC and Alberta. Cascades Kamloops will feature 50,000 square feet of premium entertainment space including a spectacular gaming floor, live entertainment venues and many dining and culinary options to suit any taste including Gateway’s signature Match Eatery & Public House; a full-service Buffet; and a new and exciting high end restaurant concept that will be unveiled at opening.
The Grand Opening celebration will feature great food, live entertainment and a few surprises. As part of their work with local communities, Gateway has named the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation as the signature charity for the Grand Opening festivities. Through the GatewayGIVES program, funds will be raised to support the hospital.

The Grand Opening celebration originally scheduled for July 29 will take place on Wednesday, August 19. Due to some delays in construction materials a few additional weeks were required to complete the construction and prepare the property for opening.
