China – Evolution’s La Torre to speak on convergence at G2E Asia

By - 12 May 2014

Gionata La Torre, VP Business Development and CEO Italy at Evolution Gaming is to speak at G2E Asia as part of the ‘Counting on Convergence’ panel.

La Torre will join other prominent Casino and iGaming industry figures to discuss the convergence of land-based, online and social gaming. The session takes place at 10:45am on Thursday May 22 at The Venetian, Macau.

While other speakers will look at the role of mergers and acquisitions in developing cross-sector synergies, Mr. La Torre will focus on how organic convergence is already increasing player sessions, value and loyalty.

Mr. La Torre will explore the many benefits that flow from the crossover of traditional land-based casino operations and an integrated, strongly branded online Live Casino offering. He will touch on areas such as incremental revenue from existing land-based customers, cross promotion opportunities, attracting new demographics via the online channel, intra-resort/intra-casino play on mobile devices, and single wallets, profiles and rewards.

Mr. La Torre will reference the Spanish Ruleta En Vivo service, which is delivered from within the land-based Casino Rincon de Pepe in Murcia, and also Casinó Campione d’Italia, where Evolution is readying an in-venue Live Casino studio for launch in June.

According to Mr. La Torre, “In Spain convergence is being driven, in part, by regulations. However, what is happening at Casinó Campione is part of a clear operator strategy to offer the most exciting cross-promotional opportunities and to attract more visitors to a stunning land-based location. It is a defining moment in land-based and online convergence and a development that other land-based venues will be following with great interest.”
