Coljuegos launches public invitation to hire supervisor for SUPER Astro
Coljuegos, is seeking proposals from interested parties to oversee and ensure compliance in the operation of the SUPER astro game. Starting this April 14, a public invitation of $5.588 million is open to select the new supervisor for SUPER astro. The selected company will be responsible for verifying that the operator of this game complies with all requirements established by Coljuegos in the concession contract over the next five years.
Marco Emilio Hincapié, the president of the entity, explained that Coljuegos’ interest is to ensure transparency in the process through broad participation from bidders in order to choose the most suitable proposal for overseeing the operation of the game.
“At Coljuegos, we aim to ensure the proper execution of the concession contract, as well as the protection of the resources allocated to the health sector, transparency in the game’s operation, and security for the bettors,” stated Hincapié.
As a result, any national or foreign legal entity that meets the technical, legal, and financial requirements to oversee the operation of SUPER astro may participate in the process.
The selected supervisor will have among their obligations, among others, to verify the proper functioning of the game’s sales terminals operating in the 32 departments of the country. SUPER astro is currently operated by the concessionaire Corredor Empresarial, and it represents about 14% of the total market for chance and gambling games nationwide.
