Dominican Republic – Investment paying off for Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort in Dominican Republic

By - 7 October 2019

At this year’s Magellan Awards, presented by Travel Weekly Magazine, Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort was recognised in the Hospitality Overall Casino Resort/Hotel Silver category.

The award couldn’t have come at a better time. In 2019, the all-inclusive Dominican Republic resort upgraded and expanded its glamorous Casino Bávaro – which was already one of the top Caribbean casino and gaming destinations.
Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort has recently installed 72 new slot machines for Casino Bávaro with a special Vegas-themed party, featuring dancers, giveaways and live music. The event was such a success that the resort has added a weekly Casino Vegas Night to its schedule. In addition to high-rolling thrills and spectacular entertainment, several prizes are raffled off during Casino Vegas Nights, including a stay of four days and three nights for two people at Barceló Bávaro Palace, adding to the venue’s mix of casino, cocktails, DJs and dancing.

“Casino Bávaro is better than ever in 2019,” said Javier Cordero, General Manager at Barceló Bávaro Palace. “With the acquisition of these new 72 slot machines, we will continue to complement our existing offerings, including roulette and electronic Blackjack, positioning Casino Bávaro as one of the most modern casinos in Punta Cana.”

The casino boasts a wide range of games, including American Roulette, Blackjack and Caribbean Poker (AKA casino stud poker), not to mention the 150 casino machines with the latest games. Guests can also organize an exciting round of Texas Hold’em with friends by contacting the casino staff. When guests feel like taking a break, Barceló Bávaro Palace’s Vegas-style Grand Teatro Bávaro features dancers and live music by an outstanding orchestra, with bars on both levels and waiters so you don’t miss any part of the fabulous shows whilst Casino Bávaro’s second floor is filled with high roller tables.
