The Grand Casino Lucerne was voted 1st place with the top score of 5.7 at this year’s Swiss Casino Awards 2025, the traditional house.

The in-house online casino mycasino was also honoured. With a score of 5.5, mycasino secured 1st place among Swiss online casinos. Criteria such as user-friendliness, range of games, bonus promotions and customer support were evaluated. The ratings were collected as part of a public vote on Casinos.ch and Konsumentenbewertung.ch.

The Grand Casino Lucerne can also look forward to another top-class recognition: at this year’s Swiss Location Award, it was awarded an excellent score of 8.7 in the event locations category. This means that the casino has received the coveted “Excellent” seal of approval and is officially one of the most beautiful event locations in Switzerland.

More than 75,000 reviews from organisers, guests and expert jurors made this result possible – a strong sign of the quality, ambience and uniqueness of the event location on Lake Lucerne.

“These two awards are a great motivation for our entire team – whether on-site or online,” said Wolfgang Bliem, CEO of the Grand Casino Lucerne. “They show that our passion for excellent entertainment, first-class service and stylish events is appreciated by our guests.”

“The Grand Casino Luzern Group is well positioned for the next few years with the confirmed casino licence and the operating licence issued in autumn 2024,” added Chairman of the Board of Directors, Philipp Gmür. “We want to maintain our market-leading position in online casinos. At the same time, we want to invest in the Grand Casino in Lucerne as well as in gastronomy and entertainment.”

Kursaal-Casino AG Lucerne and the Grand Casino Luzern Group were able to further consolidate their strong market position in the 2024 financial year. Gross gaming revenue rose by two per cent to a record high of CHF124.67m. The annual profit of Kursaal-Casino AG Lucerne increased to CHF1.03m. Parallel to the gross gaming revenue, the casino tax in favour of the AHV also rose by CHF1.5m to almost CHF61.3m.
