East Africa – Eventus to host Sports Betting East Africa summit

Eventus International is hosting the Sports Betting East Africa summit and exhibition at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, Uganda from May 11 to 13, 2015.

The summit’s main focus will be on fundamental issues such as strategies, developments, growth and opportunities in the East African gaming sector, as well as, exploring issues and trends in the African market. There will be high level speakers and discussions with key industry players from across Africa and Europe, the line-up will include; Manzi Tumubweine, Chairman, National Lotteries Board of Uganda, Charles Wambia, Acting Director, Betting Control and Licensing Board of Kenya,Christina Thakor-Rankin, Consultant, 1710 Gaming (UK), James Mpiirwe, Board Secretary, National Lotteries Board, Uganda, John Mutua, Head of Betting/Technical Operations, Jockey Club Kenya and many other big names in the industry.

There will be a line-up of speakers and discussions with key industry players from across Africa and Europe, focusing on fundamental issues such as strategies, developments, growth and opportunities in the East African gaming sector.

The three day conference will cover an overview of the Uganda gambling industry. It will include key growth markets and opportunities in Kenya, advantages and opportunities presented for operators in East Africa, navigating the licensing and regulations in different African jurisdictions, understanding the African local punter vs. international punters and many other topics.

Sports Betting West Africa will be held in Lagos at Eko Hotel & Suites on 15 to 17 June, 2015.
