France – Circus Casino in Vals-les-Bain to invest €6m on renovation

French casino owner the Circus group is preparing to undertake major renovations at its hotel Helvie by Circus in Vals-les-Bains in Ardèche.
The building permit filed on December 17 provides in particular for an increase in reception capacity and the development of its infrastructure, with the creation of 15 rooms, the development of private terraces, the construction of a swimming pool and a pool house and the renovation of the bar. The restaurant will also be redesigned with the creation of a covered terrace.
This phase of the work will require an investment of €6m from the Circus group.
“We want to make this hotel a jewel of the Ardèche, while retaining all the charm, comfort and character of this essential Vals-les-Bains establishment and thermal cures. We hope to offer our customers top-of-the-range service, while attracting new customers to our gourmet restaurant and the Circus Casino in Vals-les-Bains ”, said Sébastien Leclercq, General Manager of the Circus France group, the press release.
Acquired by Circus in 2020, the Vals-les-Bains casino has already been the subject of heavy investments, including the purchase of nearly 80 latest generation slot machines.
Currently in the phase of renewing the public service delegation, the casino of Vals-les-Bains rose to the 90th position in the ranking of casinos in 2018-2019, the last year before the health crisis, with a GGR of €9. 24m
